The cumulative results of experimentation led by curiosity with provided teapot. The purpose of the final project for Introduction to 3D Production A was to "WOW" the department. Achieved goal of instructor Van Phan's feedback saying, "WOW! This is great!" The Lookdev portion of this class had minimum requirements and instructions encouraging class participants to experiment a lot. Time was afforded to research your questions and apply the results of the answers. Music provided by my senior in high school who is credited, including QR code, on the credits page. Material on the final Teapot set to music is a custom-made material personally made in Adobe Capture. I plan to release the breakdown in my new blog, coming soon. I experimented with different map placements and adjustments to get the stone swirl but in a metal look. Color, specular, diffusion, and roughness adjustments including node linking or stacking to achieve the effects on the metallic pieces. Curiosity led to experimenting with light effects in combination with adding key frames to animation. All completed and rendered in Maya, imported into Media Encoder, music added and looped in Premier Pro.
An extremely similar sample material is available for purchase for what you feel it's worth, something like a free / reduced price version or sample on Gumroad: https://christascreations.gumroad.com/l/Botswana_agate1r1
I made an interactive scene in Adobe Dimension where you can interact with the material in a scene, trying it before you buy it. https://adobe.ly/3Xx4iQj
I plan to make the exact material available for purchase here in the future. My portfolio and marketplace are still in the beginner building stages.
